Shamira Ghouse
- Position: Ambassador
Dr Shamira Ghouse
My Career in Brief
I studied at Cardiff University and continued my postgraduate training across the Thames Valley and the East of England Deanery. I am currently a Gastroenterology Specialist Registrar and had the privilege of completing the Royal College of Physicians’ flagship Chief Registrar Programme. This role gave me invaluable leadership experience and deep insight into the strategic and operational aspects of NHS management, strengthening my ability to lead change and improve patient care.
What SAMF Means to Me
While serving as Chief Registrar at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, I had the opportunity to meet SAMF President, Dr David Buckle, who introduced me to the foundation and its remarkable work. Having seen first-hand the support SAMF provides, I am passionate about helping the charity thrive so it can continue to make a meaningful difference.
My Hope for the Future of SAMF
I hope to raise greater awareness of SAMF amongst resident doctors and help expand its membership, ensuring the charity can continue its vital work. SAMF is an exceptional resource for doctors, and I am committed to helping more colleagues discover and benefit from its support.
